My busy lifestyle came to an abrupt halt in April of 2021 when I discovered I had several health issues, caused by stress, bad eating habits and an undetected congenital heart defect. Nothing screams "SLOWDOWN" like your body failing you. I decided it was time I started investing in myself and my health. My first step was to do a radical overhaul of the foods I was eating. After much research and planning, I reached out to Natalie who shared with me some delicious recipes that I was able to implement, low in sugars and carbs, well balanced and packed with the nutrition I needed to carry me throughout the day. After a few months of adjusting into my new lifestyle, she recommended I try her 3 week Summer Detox Program. On the program, we eliminated trigger foods from our diet before reintroducing them back in. I found that I would get headaches and feel nauseous when I ate sugary things. This was an eye-opening experience, and to be honest, after three weeks of cutting out most sugar from my diet, when the time came to reintroduce them back in, the sweet things I used to love, were just ‘Too Sweet’ and I wouldn’t be able to finish even that bite of chocolate cake I loved. After the summer detox, my skin was glowing, I was intentionally making healthy food choices, I ate everything I wanted to eat, but most of all I was feeling more energized. This pushed me into the next phase of my health journey, which was joining a 13 week workout program. Since my journey began in April I’ve lost 25lbs and still counting. I feel great and I’m excited to keep working on myself. Natalie, thank you for your passion for healthy living, for all your encouragement and advice during these last several months, and thank you for being a big part of my journey.

The cleanse was a great experience for me. I had already gotten rid of sugar a while back and I finally managed to remove milk from my diet. That was hard but worth it as I used to drink a big cup of warm milk every night and wake up with a stuffy, snotty nose. Removing milk from my diet reduced this to a great extent. I have drastically reduced my bread, pasta and rice consumption. The only meat I have is chicken and fish (mainly grilled salmon).

I lost 1 kg, however I learned a lot from Natalie. Her material, presentation, follow up and recipes are great. I also like the fact that she checks in on everyone and keeps everyone informed, engaged and encouraged. I will definitely try this cleanse again.
